Span over an area of 521 square kilometers, the Corbett National Park has been the hot tourist destination for wildlife fans for many years. Four wheeler jeep and elephant safari is the most popular modular modes viewing the rich flora and fauna of the park. These vehicles are registered with the park administrations. Visitors are not allowed to use their own vehicles inside the park. They can move about in registered vehicles inside the park confines after making entries at the respective gates. You cannot get down from the vehicles while enjoying jeep safari. Walking or trekking inside the park is strictly prohibited except at certain places. Specific trails for vehicles are maintained to enable visitors to watch wildlife at Corbett. Driving off track it is not allowed for reasons of safety. It is to be noted that driving after sunset is strictly prohibited.
